Make WP-PostViews Work with WP-Super-Cache

Lester Chan develop a greate WordPress plugin – WP-PostViews, can enable user to display how many times a post/page had been viewed. It’s base on PHP. But if you active WP-Cache, wp-cache2, or wp-Super cache plugin, you will found that WP-PostViews not working. It won’t work because it requires PHP to run.

I found a way to make it work. Replace your old wp-postviews with WP-PostViews JS Mod.

Download:

WP-PostViews JS Mod for WordPress 2.5

Note:
Modded Plugin only tested to work with WordPress 2.5 and is probably not backwards compatible with WordPress 2.3.3 or earlier versions.

Installation Instructions:

Deactivate your old wp-Postviews.
Delete postviews folder on wp-content/plugins/
Upload wp-postviews js Mod
Intallation works the same way as the original WP-PostViews except that you will need to do ONE OF THE FOLLOWING:

Place a symbolic link from wp-content/wp-postviews-js.php -> plugins/wp-postviews/wp-postviews-js.php
Move wp-postviews-js.php directly under your wp-content/ directory

That should be all.

there is a simple way to know how many times posts/pages have been view by our visitors.
try cystats plugin. all information about who visited our posts,pages including a bot of search engine activity you can get there..
